TDD Repertory
For our TDD Dance family who doesn’t know what Repertory is please take a peek below. On a side note, we wanted to thank our dancers who came out last Saturday to our Free Day! We had a blast!
What is Repertory?
Repertory is an avenue for the dedicated dancer to perform more, get involved in community events, participate in fun community service projects, and to grow in their overall dance technique. This is a way for our dancers ages 7-18 who are looking for more, can develop into strong technical dancers and to be more involved in our dance family.
Here at the Dance Department, we have chosen NOT to offer competitive opportunities while developing and holding our Repertory dancers to the same technical standard. We believe that dance should be a fun, positive, and upbuilding experience and that should carry through to our highest level dancers.
What is the commitment?
Dancers may choose to participate in either our Fall Session (Sept-Dec) and/or our Spring Session (Jan-May) Every Thursday dancers will receive technical training and learn choreography for 2 hours: 5-7pm.
Expect to perform at least 2-4 times per session! Performances may include but are not limited to: parades, nursing homes, and for local community events.
We will also have some special community service activities to look forward to! For dancers looking to gain a little extra credit or put certain volunteer hours down on college/job applications, this is a great opportunity for you! Dancers ages 13 and up within Repertory, who meet a certain criteria, may also be asked to assist in a class during the week.
Do I qualify?
Are you a dancer ages 7-18 currently registered with The Dance Department? Do you enjoy performing? Do you like to make others smile, give back to your local community? Are you looking to grow as an individual dancer and as a team player? This is the place for you! Register to reserve your spot on our Repertory team today!
